Kaden's Birthday: Kaden turned 2 on the 22nd of May. He is obsessed with truck and the ones we buy him at the store can't handle the beeting that our boys give them, so Chad ordered some old Tonka trucks of Ebay. The axles are a lot stronger and they can handle more crash time. Kaden loved his presents and his basketball birthday cake that took me two times before I succeeded.

Quade's Last day of school. He loved going to school and he has learned so much. He has some really great teachers and made some good friends. Quade loves to play in the sandbox and he is getting good with his letters. Notice the Q he drew with the chalk. Kaden loved taking Quade to school and is ready to go himself, but he's going to have to wait one more year. Quade will go to school at Head Start again in the fall. We've been so glad that he has had this opportunity.

This spring Quade has learned about planting flowers and how seeds grow at preschool. Now he has been picking and replanting all kinds of plants. We went for a walk and Kaden started to cry so I picked a cat tail for him. When we got home Quade dug up some dirt out of the flower bed and planted them in a cup. The process has continuted with dandylions and many other things. These plants have been around the house for weeks but I just can't get myself to throw them out.
Monday we went fishing at Spring Valley. We had so much fun. We loaded the boys up in the double stroller and Chad pushed them through the mud puddles. Quade got a new fishing pole for being completely potty trained. He got to try it out for the first time. The boys actually lasted longer than we thought they would. Kaden especially surprised us. He sat in the chair holding the pole for a long time. Quade caught a fish and after that he was hooked. He didn't want to go home and he talked about it all the way. The next day he wouldn't eat school lunch because he was saving his appitite for his fish when he got home. We love being outside and it is so much fun watching the boys learn and explore new things.

Going 8 months without seeing any family is not fun. I was so excited when Ben, Alyssa, and Grandma came. I had so much fun with Mom and Alyssa decorating my house. Quade and Kaden did not waste time getting warmed to them like they usually do. Quade and Grandma ate ice cream with sprinkles at 10:00 at night. Kaden liked to cuddle with Alyssa, and I had a ton of fun shopping with Mom and watching her put things together, especially the red twigs on my wall. ( Mom and Alyssa will know what I am talking about)

Having Fun with Chads Most Recent Obsession: When we went to Pendleton Chad's brother got a paint ball game going with some kids from his school. Chad has been trying to get involved with this sport and the next weekend Drake his brother came up to go and play a game in Spokane that had about 200 players. They had a lot of fun. Chad is pretty good. I feel more comfortable when he is on my team. I have a lot playing and Quade and Kaden had a lot of fun watching. They had fun picking up the dropped ball and smashing them. Quade was watching through the glass and a ball hit and splattered right in front of his face. He thought it was cool. No doubt that the boys will be having a lot of fun with this game also. In these pictures I took a shot to the face that splattered pieces in my mouth and a shot to the top of my head, probably by one of my own teammates.
